With the theme, “Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan,” this year’s celebration of the NCM is made extra special as it coincides with the 30th Anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC).



The said activities may include hoisting of streamer/banner of this year’s NCM celebration depicting its theme; recitation of the “Panatang Makabata” during the flag raising ceremonies on all Mondays of November; development, production and distribution of information, education and communication materials and other collaterals to include those developed by the CWC; in-class discussions on current issues such as bullying and conduct of child-friendly activities such as art contests and others.



DepEd also noted that the summit aims to “celebrate the successes in upholding the rights of the child and identify the challenges in their realization to help address them with a whole-of-society approach, including the participation of children themselves as rights-holders.”

REFLECTION

      This last Quarter, 4th Quarter, we learned all about Photoshop. We learned Basic Photoshop back in the 8th Grade, but now that we're Grade 10 it is more advance than Grade 8. We learned all about its tools and how to use it. It is a good idea to use the Photoshop in order to edit Photos in a nicer way. We had fun learning it and I hope that we will apply it on the future. Change is basically a variation in the common way of doing things. Whenever people perform a task in a certain way, they get accustomed to them. They develop methods which they can implement routinely to achieve these tasks. Any variation in these methods is nothing but change. Change happens whether we like it or not and regardless of whether we do anything about it. Tomorrow will be different than today. We can resist, but that is a bit like standing in a river and trying to hold back the water – useless. We have a choice to watch change passively happening around us, or to participate and lead it. We can lead change and make our world a better place if we start with ourselves.
