REFLECTION

Image
This last Quarter, 4th Quarter, we learned all about Photoshop. We learned Basic Photoshop back in the 8th Grade, but now that we're Grade 10 it is more advance than Grade 8. We learned all about its tools and how to use it. It is a good idea to use the Photoshop in order to edit Photos in a nicer way. We had fun learning it and I hope that we will apply it on the future. HIGHSCHOOL DAYYYY

Image
Foundation Day is the most awaited and the busiest occasion celebrated in our school. Ilocos Sur National High School annually celebrates this special occasion to commemorate the day when the school was founded or established.  Commemorating the school foundation day is significant since it is the chance to remind the students about the humble beginnings of their educational institution.  This could help them better appreciate the improvements they are currently enjoying which have been worked-hard for by school authorities, parents, and students that came before them. The Foundation Day is filled with fun and joy. It is the time of celebrating the founding of our school that became our second home. Aim High, Fly, Soar. Ilocos Sur National Highschool. MY DREAM, MY FUTURE

Image
When I started high school, I also started dreaming of becoming an Engineer just like my father. He serves as an inspiration to me in becoming an Engineer and of course my whole family, friends and the love of my life are always there to support me in my dreams.  I am positive that I can and I will pursue my dream and achieve it and soon it will be my future. I am doing this not just because of myself but also for my family, for always being there and I will do my best to achieve the future that I'm dreaming of. CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU

Image
Change is basically a variation in the common way of doing things. Whenever people perform a task in a certain way, they get accustomed to them. They develop methods which they can implement routinely to achieve these tasks. Any variation in these methods is nothing but change. Change happens whether we like it or not and regardless of whether we do anything about it. Tomorrow will be different than today. We can resist, but that is a bit like standing in a river and trying to hold back the water – useless. We have a choice to watch change passively happening around us, or to participate and lead it. We can lead change and make our world a better place if we start with ourselves. Learning to become a better spouse, parent, businessperson, leader, salesperson, philanthropist, coach and volunteer will enable me to contribute more to my family, my community, and my industry. By inviting positive change into my life, by initiating change, I might be able to positively influence ot...

KANNAWIDAN

Image
Ilocos Sur is a beautiful province located in the northern part of Luzon. It is a province rich in culture that represents the ancient Spanish and Filipino heritage. To show and share their treasures to the whole world, the locals conceived a festival that highlights these cultural traditions and they called it the “Kannadiwan Festival”. It is a celebration that lasts from the last week of January up to the first week of February. Included in the course of events is the commemoration of the foundation day of the province. On the opening day, there is usually a mass held at the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral. It is followed by a procession of the Patron Saints of the 40 parishes and images of Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary around the city. It is the Ilocanos' way of giving thanks to the Almighty not only for the bountiful blessings but also for the rich heritage of the city, including the close family ties among the Ilocanos. This event showcases the deep-rooted religio...

VIVA VIGAN

Image
The Vigan City Fiesta is held in honour of St. Paul the Apostle, the city’s patron saint, on 25 January each year. Locals and tourists gather to experience and see the street dancing, carnivals, food fairs, and arts and crafts, adding to the attraction of this UNESCO World Heritage City. Vigan is a popular tourist destination because of its museums and architecture. Still, it is also known for its longganisa which is a local kind of salami. The dish is made in accordance with a century-old tradition and has a truly unique taste. Although there were several tries to replicate the combination of sliced spicy meat, sugarcane vinegar, and garlic, no one can compete with local chefs. Biguenos from all over the country and even abroad return to Vigan, as it is the custom of Filipinos to return to their hometown to join their family and friends in the celebration of their fiesta. They are joined by thousands of visitors from other parts of the Philippines and other countries in e...

BRINGING BACK THE VIBE OF NEW YEAR

Image
New year is the most celebrated occasion because it is the beginning of another year and when it is new year, some people say that New Year, New Me and others say that they will have a New Year’s Resolution, while I say New Year is still the same me because I do not have to commit in anything that I don’t want to do. You can’t force yourself to do something. Like for example when you want to be super fit this coming year but you can’t stop from eating because you love foods or even say food is life. If you want to eat then do it. You don’t have to change yourself because it’s New Year. I noticed that these past few years that we’re celebrating New Year has become more miserable each and every year. It is not the same vibe anymore compared from the past years. I hope it would return in to being a wonderful New Year. SOURCE: https://images.app.goo.gl/u9xuMAXqPbSiXgN96
